This page explains what ShaadiMode stores when you build a wedding, and when your guests reply to it. Plain language, no legalese we wouldn’t say out loud.
ShaadiMode is operated by Clazro Technology Private Limited (CIN U62099RJ2026PTC110284), registered at House No. 140, Teli Mohalla, Deoli, Tonk, Rajasthan 304804, India. In this policy, “we”, “us” and “our” mean Clazro Technology Private Limited.
About you, the couple who signs in and pays for a plan, we store your name, email, phone number and the wedding details you enter (dates, city, functions, plan and payment status).
About your guests, once you or they add it, we store:
We don’t ask guests for anything beyond what a function needs — a meal choice, an RSVP, a wish.
The couple collects their guests’ data — by adding it themselves, importing a sheet or contacts, or a guest typing it in when they RSVP. We store and run that data on the couple’s behalf, to operate the invitation and tools they built. Under India’s Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 (DPDPA), the couple is the data fiduciary for their guests’ data and Clazro Technology Private Limited acts as their data processor — we don’t decide what to do with guest data beyond running the product for the couple.
To run the invitation you built: to show the right functions to the right family, to record replies you can read, to run check-in at the door, and to let you edit your wedding from the control panel. We never sell guest or customer data, we never show one family’s data to another family on the same wedding, and we don’t use it for anything outside the wedding it was collected for.
The shagun ledger, on plans that include it, records real money amounts. It is visible only to the couple and the editors they’ve added to that wedding — never to guests, and never to another family.
Invitation links are sent from your own WhatsApp number, by you. Day-of and reminder updates, on plans that include them, go out from ShaadiMode’s own WhatsApp number — only to guests who opted in to receive them, never to anyone else on your list. Any guest can reply STOP on WhatsApp at any time to stop receiving messages for that wedding; we act on it immediately.
Wedding and guest data is stored in Supabase (Postgres). The website itself runs on Vercel. Both are standard, widely used infrastructure providers; we don’t run our own servers for this.
We don’t run third-party analytics or advertising trackers on ShaadiMode today. Signing in to the control panel uses a session cookie so you stay logged in — nothing more.
For as long as your wedding page is live, plus a reasonable period after in case you want it back. By default we anonymise guest data — stripping names, phone numbers and other identifying details — 30 days after the last function on a wedding. A couple can ask us to keep it longer or delete it sooner at any time. If you ask us to delete your whole wedding, we do — see below.
You can ask us to delete your entire wedding — the invitation, the guest list, replies, photos and the shagun ledger — at any time, by emailing hello@shaadimode.com. This is irreversible: once it’s deleted, we cannot bring it back.
You can ask us to show you what we hold, correct it, or delete it entirely — for your wedding, or for one guest’s reply. Email hello@shaadimode.com and we’ll act on it directly; there’s no automated flow for this yet, so expect a human reply, typically within 3 working days.
If this policy changes in a way that matters, we’ll say so on this page with a new date at the top.
